Electrical Installer Class B

The license information below is specific to the state of Minnesota.

This license applies to the following occupations:

Description

Requirements

-An applicant for a Class B Installer license shall have at least one year's experience, acceptable to the board, in wiring for, installing, and repairing electrical wiring, apparatus, or equipment, or shall have completed a technical college electrical course.
-Additionally, a Class B Installer must give bond to the state in the sum of $1,000 as a condition of licensure.
-Sixteen hours of continuing education credit must be earned as a condition of renewal.

Fees

Application and examination fee - $35

License fee - $15 per year; two-year term expiring on the anniversary date of initial issue. Sixteen hours of continuing education credit must be earned as a condition of renewal.
Late fee - equal to one year's license fee in addition to full renewal fee if not renewed before 30 days after the expiration of the license.
